Panama Volcán Barú National Park

Panama Geisha Private Collection – Selectively Hand Picked & Washed

This coffee is grown under unique climatic conditions within the Volcán Barú biodiversity system in Western Panama. The coffee estate consistently produces one of the best Geisha coffees in Panama (First Prize, Best of Panama 2014, Fifth Prize Best of Panama 2018). The coffee estate excels  at winning top awards in the Specialty Coffee Association Cupping Contests in Panama. The success of this award-winning coffee estate is attributed to high elevation (1,750 –1,850 meters), volcanic rich soil and  unique micro-climates driven by the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The lot is 100% Geisha. This blue green elongated heirloom varietal from Ethiopia yields complex aromas and flavors.

The property owner excels for his knowledge and expertise in coffee agriculture. The family is passionate and committed to continue the  legacy established over 40 years. Through sustainable practices, the coffee producer, works and shares values with other local farmers to elevate coffee culture,  improve quality and standard of living. The Geisha ripe coffees are hand-picked, washed and patio dried. The coffee flavor exhibits delicate notes of jasmine, green apple, fresh strawberries, with a unique lemongrass floral finish marked by a delicate acidity.
